The Blog, The Break, and The Comeback: A Heartfelt Update from Tracy at Confetti This

Let me just say this right up front—We haven’t been keeping up with our blog. 😔
There’s really no excuse, and I’m not even going to pretend there is one. Life, business, pivoting, showing up for people, creating product launches, planning events, being present in our store, growing programs, and trying to remember to drink water—all of that is real. But still… our blog went quiet.
And if you're reading this post, it means you're one of the folks who stuck around. Thank you.
A Realization I Couldn’t Ignore
Just a few days ago, I was scrolling through my content calendar and saw all the short posts, captions, hashtags, Reels, and story ideas we’ve been pumping into social media. But something hit me:
"Social media is the intro.Your blog is the whole story."
I don’t even remember where I saw it—probably a quote flying through my feed—but it stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me that even though I show up with love every week on Instagram, Facebook, and even our newsletter… my blog had become the silent sister in the Confetti family.
And not because she didn’t matter. But because in the hustle of running a comfort lounge and café, of being a woman, a creator, a mentor, a community builder—I simply forgot to bring her with me.
Adding the Blog to My Planner = Adding It Back to My Heart
So here we are. March 23, 2025.
I’ve officially added “write blog post” to my planner each month (and I mean really added it). Not as an afterthought, not as a last-minute “Oh yeah,” but as a pillar of how we reflect, connect, and grow.
Because this blog isn’t just a place to post what’s new—it’s a space where I get to share the behind-the-scenes, the “why” behind the products, the journey that fuels the pop-ups and events, the small victories that don’t always fit inside a square post.
Remembering Why This Blog Started in the First Place
Confetti This started from a vision—a belief that women deserve a space to feel comfortable, seen, and stylish, all at the same time. When I opened my boutique and eventually launched the café, I wanted this blog to be a reflection of that mission.
And for a while, it was.We talked about our loungewear launches, our seasonal events, the energy of our storefront, and the women we met along the way.
We spoke about real things—like mental wellness, self-care, entrepreneurship, re-entry after incarceration, and starting over from scratch. Because this blog was never just about clothes. It was about comfort in every form.
But sometimes, when you’re building something brick by brick, you forget to stop and write about the building.
December 29, 2024: Our Last Blog Post Before the Silence
Our last post was on December 29, 2024—right before the new year.
At the time, I had so much I wanted to say, and so many plans for the year ahead. I thought, “2025 is about to be a year of elevation.” I had ideas for new collections, women’s wellness events, deeper mentorship, and re-entry program support. And guess what? All of that happened.
But I didn’t write about it.
You saw glimpses of it on social, but the fullness, the rawness, the behind-the-scenes faith walk of it all? That part got left off the blog. And that’s what I want to bring back.
I Logged In Today and Saw the Numbers...
Here’s what really brought tears to my eyes.
Even though I hadn’t posted since December, people were still reading.Yes—YOU were still here.
Our blog has quietly, consistently had readers checking in. Whether it was one post about a pop-up you couldn’t attend or a deep-dive reflection that resonated with your season—you found us. Somehow, you landed on our blog and took the time to read. Maybe even share. Maybe even breathe a little easier afterward.
And that is a blessing I’ll never take for granted.
So What’s Next?
We’re calling this the comeback season of the Confetti This Blog—and it’s going to be personal, practical, and full of purpose. I’ve mapped out upcoming posts I’m excited to share:
Coming Soon:
Behind the $10 Sale – How community and comfort create access
The Future of Loungewear – Why we’re not just a trend, we’re a lifestyle
Building a Boutique & Café from Scratch – What no one tells you
Women Rebuilding After Lock-Up – The raw truth behind re-entry
How I Stay Grounded in the Chaos – Real routines, no fluff
Confetti Chronicles: Customer Spotlights – Sharing your stories of comfort
This blog is about to become a deeper space of storytelling and inspiration—because that’s who we are at our core.
I’ve Never Posted the Link on Social Media Before, But…
I’m changing that too. Starting today, I’ll be dropping the blog link on our Instagram, Facebook, and email newsletter. It’s time for our stories to be seen, not just our styles.
So if you found this post through the blog directly—thank you. If you clicked the link from a story or a text—thank you too.
Let’s give the blog its flowers this season. 🌸
A Note to My Readers
Whether you’ve been here since post #1 or just stumbled across our site for the first time today, I want you to know:
You matter.Your presence is felt.Your support is not taken lightly.
Running this business as a Black woman entrepreneur, in a community I love, with a vision that stretches beyond loungewear—takes heart. It takes grit. It takes believing in yourself even when no one’s clapping.
But the blog is my way of clapping for you.
This is where I get to reflect on the power of creating not just a brand—but a movement. One that’s rooted in comfort, healing, second chances, and joy.
